Dhalia Real Estate recently held a memorable team-building event in Mdina, Malta’s historic ‘Silent City’. Designed to strengthen collaboration and boost morale, the event brought together employees from across the company for a day filled with adventure, camaraderie and discovery.

The day kicked off with a warm welcome and a hearty breakfast in the serene surroundings of Mdina. Employees gathered early to enjoy a spread of fresh pastries, fruit, and aromatic coffee. This relaxed start allowed colleagues to reconnect, share stories, and set a positive tone for the day.

The highlight of the event was the iChallenge iPad Treasure Hunt – an innovative and interactive activity organised by JUGS Malta, renowned for their engaging team-building experiences. The challenge aimed to promote collaboration, sharpen problem-solving skills, and spark creativity among Dhalia’s team members.

Split into 16 groups, employees from various departments and branches were mixed to encourage new connections. Each team was handed an iPad loaded with clues, trivia, and interactive challenges. Their mission? To navigate the winding streets of Mdina, uncover its hidden gems, and solve a series of puzzles inspired by the city’s rich history and iconic landmarks.

The treasure hunt offered a blend of competition and fun. Teams worked together to decipher cryptic messages, complete tasks, and answer trivia, all while racing against the clock. ‘The scavenger hunt was a fantastic experience! It wasn’t just entertaining; it also encouraged us to communicate better and think strategically,’ shared one participant.

Mdina’s breathtaking charm amplified the excitement. As teams darted past centuries-old buildings and paused at scenic spots overlooking Malta’s countryside, the activity transformed into somewhat of a journey through time!

After the treasure hunt, the group reunited to celebrate their accomplishments with a lunch catered by Dre’s Grill. Employees were treated to gourmet burgers, vegetarian delights, and other freshly prepared meals, served in a relaxed outdoor setting. This moment of shared enjoyment gave the participants time and space to reflect on the day’s activities, exchange stories, and revel in the bonds formed during the morning’s adventures.

‘The food was incredible, and the entire atmosphere was so uplifting,’ said one team member. ‘It felt amazing to be appreciated and to know that our efforts are valued.’
