Malta Public Transport has recently announced the addition of 25 new buses to its fleet, bringing the total number of scheduled vehicles to 510. These new buses will enter service in the coming weeks and are part of the company’s ongoing commitment to enhancing public transport services across Malta.

With the introduction of these buses, Malta Public Transport will be able to increase the number of trips and improve the efficiency of key routes.

The buses will be used on routes with fewer stops, such as airport services and routes from Cirkewwa Ferry terminal, which will be synchronised with Gozo ferry schedules.

Designed with passenger comfort in mind, these buses offer increased seating capacity and accessibility for wheelchair users. Each bus features two doors for easier boarding, free Wi-Fi, USB charging points, and dedicated storage areas for hand luggage.

Additionally, they are equipped with Euro VI engines, the cleanest diesel technology available, ensuring a more environmentally friendly service.

This investment reflects the company’s ongoing dedication to improving the customer experience. In the last year alone, 85 buses were added to its fleet, with similar models being well-received in Cyprus for their comfort and design.

Further details on route improvements and new connections are expected to be announced soon.
