Sunny start! Malta and Gozo to welcome 2025 with warm weather and clear skies
Perfect hike weather!

Francesca Vella

Christmas week may have brought frosty winds and cold temperatures to the Maltese Islands, but Malta and Gozo are set to bid farewell to 2024 in true Mediterranean style - with warmer-than-usual weather, gentle breezes, and little to no rain. According to Maltese Islands Weather, the final days of the year promise a sunny break and an inviting real feel of up to 20°C!

Although some clouds may roll in later in the week, daytime temperatures are expected to remain pleasantly above average for this time of year. The nighttime will be milder compared to last week’s chill, with averages hovering around 11°C - good news for anyone planning to ring in the New Year under the stars.

Winds are forecast to stay light throughout the week, ensuring calm conditions ideal for island-hopping as well as outdoor activities. Rain chances will remain minimal until New Year’s Day, with a slight increase toward the first weekend of 2025, though the likelihood is still below 50%.

So if you enjoy the outdoors, you can definitely make the most of it in the coming days – be it hiking or simply lounging in the sun!

Are you happy with this change of weather?
