As October rolls in, many places around the world are preparing for autumn's arrival, with falling leaves and cooler temperatures. However, Maltese weather has other plans as summer seems to have no intention of bidding farewell just yet.

The sun continues to shine brightly, and temperatures are soaring above 28°C, creating an unexpected and delightful extension of the summer season.

We’re looking at a hot start to the week as today’s temperature is set to be the highest of the week, rising to 30°C. According to Maltese Islands Weather Facebook page, this is all typical to anticyclonic conditions in which temperature falls gradually overnight while it starts warming in the morning as soon as the sun starts rising. The temperature normally reaches its maximum by late in the morning and plateaus till late afternoon, cooling down gradually by sunset.

While today seems to be the hottest day of the week, the warm weather does not seem like it will budge this week as the temperature will vary between 29°C and 28°C throughout the week.

However, nighttime might serve as a cool break as temperatures are set to go down to 20°C and 19°C.

While other parts of the world are unpacking their sweaters and sipping on pumpkin spice lattes, the Maltese are still hitting the beaches in their swimwear, relishing the glorious sunshine.
