Stunning! Photo shows the Comino sea cave where part of the ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’ was filmed
This huge cave is a must visit!

A magnificent photo shot by Steven Mallia shows how incredibly magical one of Malta’s sea caves truly is.

The cave, that usually is referred to as Saint Maria cave is one of the largest, if not the largest sea cave in all of Malta.

It’s found in Comino near the island’s tower. It is not super accessible if you don’t have a small boat but the views you’ll get to enjoy from within it sure make visiting it worth it.

The cave is also the sight for one of the filming scenes shot in Malta for the Hollywood film, ‘The Count of Monet Cristo’.

Santa Maria cave can be seen as the entry to castle prison featured in the film.
