Attention to all beach lovers! According to the popular weather page, Maltese Islands Weather, the wind will be howling like there’s no tomorrow over the next couple of days.

This morning, the page reported that an area of low pressure originating from the Gulf of Genoa is expected to move towards central Italy in the coming days, bringing along a powerful westerly airflow across the central Mediterranean.

Starting from Saturday the 1st of July, the wind will gradually intensify, reaching Force 6 at times from late afternoon on Saturday until early morning on Monday the 3rd of July.

To ensure safety, the page advises all boat owners are strong to take the necessary precautionary measures. If you have boats or yachts moored along the red-marked coasts, it is recommended to either bring them ashore or ensure they are securely moored by lunchtime on Saturday.

In addition, swimmers and divers are cautioned against venturing into the water due to the rough sea conditions. The unpredictable nature of the ocean demands respect, so it is essential not to take the sea for granted.

Lastly, organisers of festivities and events are advised to exercise caution with their decorations. Although no specific warnings have been issued, the influx of beachgoers during the summer school holidays' first weekend calls for increased vigilance.

Enjoy the start of July responsibly and stay safe!
