Star-struck! Jason Statham is in Malta for filming of the upcoming action thriller ‘Mutiny’
In a recent social media post featuring a selfie taken at what appears to be Birzebbuġga's Freeport, actor Jason Statham, known for his roles in 'The Expendables' and the 'Fast and Furious' franchise, revealed that he’s currently in Malta for the filming of his latest project, 'Mutiny'. In the post, Statham tagged both the movie and its director, Jean-François Richet.
This marks the first collaboration between the action star and Richet, in a genre where Statham truly shines - action thriller. 'Mutiny' follows the character Cole Reed, who, after witnessing the murder of his billionaire boss, is framed for the crime. On the run, Reed must unravel an international conspiracy to clear his name.
Jason Statham will be joined by co-stars Annabelle Wallis ('The Mummy') and Jason Wong ('The Gentlemen'), making this project an exciting one to keep an eye on!
