With many locals still enjoying some time off work, you’d think that Malta’s roads would be relatively clear on the second day of 2020, but several reports of standstill traffic along the Marsa/Hamrun Bypass say otherwise!
Posting to Facebook a few minutes ago, Maltese Roads Traffic Updates warns of a traffic jam on the bypass, going through the Santa Venera tunnel in the direction of Kappara.
In an update to the post, the page notes that a collision may be the cause of the standstill.
If you’re in the area, best take an alternative route!
