Spring is in the air! This week brings blue skies to Malta and Gozo, except for a rainy Thursday
Picnic weather incoming!

Francesca Vella

You may have noticed that the day is slowly getting longer, with the light of the sun stretching almost till 6 PM in the evenings – quite the improvement from those dark December evenings! Another sign of the upcoming season change are the warm daytime temperatures, reaching an unseasonably warm 20°C real feel temperature on Tuesday and Wednesday.

There will be an exception though! Thursday is expected to bring some isolated showers in the morning, breaking up the week of sun and bringing clouds and northeasterly winds between forces 4 and 5 from Thursday evening and lasting throughout Friday.

Worry not though – the weekend should see a return of the sun, so any picnics you might be planning should be safe! Winds should have calmed down too, by then, so weekend sea travel shouldn’t be affected... unless the forecast takes a surprise turn.

Evenings remain a chilly reminder that spring isn’t actually here yet, with the minimum real feel on Friday reaching a frosty 6 degrees – make sure to wrap up on your nights out!

Are you enjoying the spring-like weather or already missing the winter chills?
