Spotted! Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli seen at Valletta’s Barrakka Gardens
It’s not the first time he’s visited Malta.

News circled yesterday that renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli was in Malta after being spotted in front of St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta, sparking some much-needed joy during this gloomy pandemic period.

Just this morning, the singer was spotted visiting Valletta’s Upper Barrakka Gardens which boast incredible panoramic views of the Grand Harbour.

While details surrounding his Malta visit have yet to be announced, we’re wondering whether it could have something to do with a Christmas concert of sorts. Last Easter, his Music for Hope performance outside Milan’s Duomo was livestreamed amid a nationwide lockdown.

To end the year, he is indeed putting on a show, ‘Believe in Christmas’ from Parma’s Teatro Regio on 12th December. However, any Malta connections with this performance have not been confirmed as of yet. We’ll just have to wait and see!
