Although Norway was the predicted favourite to win this tournament, the Malta team put up a good fight throughout yesterday’s match, holding a five-point advantage at half-time.

The local women’s basketball team achieved the silver position under the guidance of coach Charles Bonnici, with top scorer Amber Melgoza hitting 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Steffi De Martino contributing 12 points.
