Shining stars! Maltese dance group secures 19 wins and shines on the international stage

The Maltese dance group, Rhythm & Shoes Dance Academy, has achieved remarkable success on the international stage, claiming a total of 54 trophies, including 19 first-place wins, at their first competition of 2025.

This incredible feat highlights the exceptional talent and dedication of the dancers who represented Malta with pride and grace.

Founder of the academy, Marlon Formosa, expressed heartfelt pride in his students. In a statement shared on the group’s official page, he wrote,

‘It is with great satisfaction and pleasure to say that all pupils of Rhythm & Shoes Dance Academy danced beautifully and achieved amazing results last weekend. You were all shining stars on the dance floor! I am immensely proud of each and every student from the little 5-year-olds to the adults!’

Competing against participants from 17 other countries, the group delivered stellar performances in a high-level competition, achieving 19 first places, 5 second places, 9 third places and additional placements: 5 fourths, 12 fifths, 2 sixths, and 2 sevenths.

The dancers also reached the semi-finals and quarterfinals in several categories, further showcasing their skill and commitment.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to the talent and hard work of Maltese dancers.
