Shepherd’s warning! Red skies over Malta this morning bring more rain, followed by a warm, sunny weekend
The rain is forecast to continue till tomorrow, with possible isolated showers on Thursday

Francesca Vella

Anyone who was awake early enough to see the red skies this morning won’t be surprised to note that the rainy weather Malta’s been experiencing over the past few days will continue throughout today and tomorrow, bringing thunderstorms and a predicted 6mm to 15mm of rain.

It’s not all gloom and doom though – according to Maltese Islands Weather, later on in the week, after a cloudy Wednesday and chance of isolated showers on Thursday, the weather is set to improve again, bringing back the sun and warmth, with a maximum real feel temperature of 27 degrees on Sunday! Evening temperatures will also rise over the weekend, from Wednesday’s minimum of 15°C to Sunday’s minimum of 20°C.

However, winds are also predicted to increase to forces between 5 and 6 late on Sunday, so anyone planning a trip to Gozo this weekend might want to keep updated on the situation later on during the week.

Are you hoping for a rain-free weekend?
