Sculpted dreams! ‘The Sound of You Dreaming’ brings ethereal vibes to Spazju Kreattiv in Valletta from Friday
Treading the fine line between dreams and reality

Francesca Vella

The recent, darker weather that the winter brings has the tendency to make one more reflective, maybe spending more time considering the world beyond our everyday lives. The upcoming exhibition at Spazju Kreattiv in Valletta aims to do just that – ‘The Sound of You Dreaming’, opening this Friday, explores the ‘fragile balance between the everyday and the extraordinary’ through the sculptures of the talented Paul Scerri.

The exhibition deals with the dual nature of dreams – the contradictory way in which they deviate from the laws of nature that govern our everyday lives, while containing a certain level of reality that lives, sometimes hidden, in one’s head.

Curated by Gabriel Zammit with associate curator Andrew Borg Wirth, this exhibition includes the creative contributions of Konrad Buhagiar, Matyou Galea, Kris Polidano, Maria Theuma, and Sam Vassallo.

After its opening on Friday 17th January at 7pm in Space C at Spazju Kreattiv, 'The Sound of You Dreaming' will remain on display till the 9th of March, opening on weekdays (except Monday) from 9 AM to 9 PM and between 10 AM and 9 PM on the weekend, and entry is free of charge.

Will you be attending?
