Russia could be resuming flights to Malta this week along with other international connections
Russian authorities could announce lifting of certain travel restrictions to some countries this week, according to Corporate Dispatch, and the list includes Malta.
They said that the Izvestia newspaper announced the news, crediting unnamed airport and airlines sources. Reportedly, Russia is considering resuming international flights to Malta as well as France, Hungary, Cyprus, Jordan, Egypt and China’s Shanghai.
Russia stopped all international flights during their COVID-19 lockdown, as many others did. So far, they’ve only resumed flights to Switzerland, London, Turkey and Tanzania.
For the last several weeks, Russia has recorded nearly 5,000 cases on the daily, with the country confirming that it has the fourth highest tally of cases worldwide.
