Weeping Silence received recognition from the judges at the Berlin Music Video Awards for their music video of the song ‘The Collector’.

The music video was directed, conceptualised and storyboarded by the band’s drummer Julian Mallia, and is inspired by the Maltese Folklore character ‘Ċensa l-Mewt’ – a female figure wearing the Maltese ‘għonnella’ that collects souls at the end of one’s life.

The collaborative project also involved Cedric Vella for the filming, editing and visual effects, as well as actors Mikhail Basmadjan and Sandra Davis, with make up done by Violet Vella.

In a post on social media, the band also expresses its gratitude to their record label, ViciSolum Productions, the Ministry for the National Heritage, The Arts & Local Government.
