Get ready to crank up the volume!

This October, Revamp MT is bringing the smash-hit musical School of Rock to Valletta for a limited run between 10th and 12th October, with both matinee and evening shows guaranteed to bring the house down.

Made popular by the 2003 film starring the irreverant Jack Black, School of Rock follows the wayward wannabe rock star Dewey Finn, who fakes his way into a teaching job at a prestigious prep school. He transforms his students into a rock band ready to take on the Battle of the Bands, learning a few lessons of his own along the way, about friendship, courage, and staying true to yourself.

Leading the cast is James Ryder as the irrepressible Dewey Finn, joined by Natassja Chapman as headteacher Rosalie Mullins, Alessio Buhagiar as Ned Schneebly, Bertha Farrugia as Patty Di Marco, and Rachel Grech as Ms Sheinkopf.

True to the spirit of School of Rock, the classroom explodes with energy thanks to a talented young ensemble who will be playing their instruments live on stage. Rising stars Leah Grech and Michaela Caruana share the role of Summer Hathaway, bringing even more musical magic to the stage.

Behind the scenes, the production is in expert hands: directed by musical theatre veteran Dorothy Bezzina, with Edward Mifsud as musical director, Karl Borg as production manager, and Samaria Bezzina on choreography. Sound and lighting design come courtesy of Sergio Costa and Mohamed Ali ‘Dali’ Aguerbi, ensuring a high-energy show that feels every bit like a live rock gig.

Packed with an infectious score, laugh-out-loud humour, and a heartwarming message, School of Rock is the ultimate feel-good musical for the whole family. With its mix of theatrical flair and full-throttle rock concert vibes, this is one show you won’t want to miss.

Will you be rocking in the audience?
