Raise your glass! The Delicata Classic Wine Festival is returning to Gozo in September
The 19th edition of this wine festival will take place between Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd of September.
Wine lovers, rejoice! The 19th edition of the highly anticipated Delicata Classic Wine Festival is back, and it is set to take place in the picturesque town of Nadur, Gozo on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd of September.
Organised in collaboration with the Nadur Local Council, this annual event promises two evenings filled with the enchantment of wine tasting, live music performances, and culinary delights. Wine enthusiasts, music lovers, and food connoisseurs alike will gather to celebrate the rich heritage of Maltese wines and indulge in an unforgettable experience.
One of the highlights of the Delicata Classic Wine Festival has always been to sample a large variety of different wines, and this year, there will be over 20 to choose from. Attendees will have the opportunity to savour vintages from ten award-winning Delicata brands, carefully served at stalls spread throughout the festival grounds. From semi-sparkling Frizzantes crafted from rare native old bush vines to white, red, and rosé D.O.K. Malta Medina and D.O.K. Gozo Victoria Heights boutique wines, there is something to suit every palate.
Wine coins serve as the festival's currency, and these coins, together with a souvenir wine glass, can be bought at the event itself.
To complement the exquisite wine offerings, the Delicata Classic Wine Festival also showcases an impressive lineup of local musical talent. Each evening features a double-bill performance, ensuring a delightful auditory experience including the soulful sounds of Rebecca & The Passengers on Friday and the energetic Big Band Brothers on Saturday.
And don’t worry the festival will also cater to food lovers seeking diverse culinary experiences to pair with their glasses of wine. Live cooking stalls will be serving an array of traditional Maltese dishes as well as international delicacies, appealing to a wide range of palates.
