While the last couple of days might have made us feel like winter was rearing its frosty head again, picnickers will be happy to know that the days leading up to the official start of spring – including the public holiday marking the feast of St Joseph on 19th March.
Clouds will remain throughout the week, but the sun should make some appearances both tomorrow (Wednesday 18th March) and Thursday. Thursday evening and Friday morning will bring some hefty winds, leading to rough seas that are likely to remain choppy for most of the weekend, so you’ll want to keep that in mind if you planned on any island hopping over the weekend.
Ironically, the first day of calendar spring (Saturday 21st March) will likely bring rain – light (expected not to exceed 3mm) yet coupled with strong winds reaching Force 7 in the evening, blowing spring right into our lives.
More clouds seem to be on the horizon following that, although the temperature is expected to rise to a real-feel of 20 degrees by the start of next week, so the new season will be showing at least some signs of life.
Speaking of temperature, this week’s evenings are going to remain definitively chilly, with Thursday dipping to a real-feel temperature of 7 degrees at night!
Looking forward to warmer days?
