Starting out in the field of interior design, Ruben Formosa’s works combine the functionality of objects with aesthetic appeal. The artist has always had a passion for sculpture, having trained as an apprentice with late marble sculptor Ronald Pisani. Other collaborations in his career include Pawl Carbonaro, George Scicluna, and Paul Haber.

Throughout his career, Ruben Formosa has worked with various materials including marble, wood, stone, clay, and has recently also delved into ceramics.

Organic Formations explores the element of imperfection in the natural world, bringing to life certain rudimentary forms in nature, ranging from abstract to polished pieces.

This local artist’s works have previously been viewed as part of private collections in Malta and abroad, and he has participated in several collective exhibitions.

This will be his first solo exhibition open to the public.
