The theatre production on everyone’s lips, Jamie Cardona’s solo performance, ‘Mid-Djarju ta' Student fi Skola tal-Knisja’, is now officially recognised as the longest-running theatrical production in Maltese history. Since its debut in April 2024, the show has captivated audiences across the nation, selling out night after night as people scramble to get tickets. With additional dates scheduled for January 2025, this unprecedented success will bring the total count to an impressive 53 performances, setting a new benchmark in Maltese theatre.

In recognition of this historic achievement, The Malta Records will present Jamie Cardona with an official certification during the January performances, celebrating the show’s profound impact on Maltese theatre and its ability to draw thousands to the stage.

Each show has resonated deeply, presenting a relatable and humorous insight into Maltese adolescence and drawing a vibrant response from audiences of all ages. The show's popularity signals a growing appreciation for locally produced theatre and is inspirational in its capacity to form meaningful connections with its audiences.

As demand continues to soar, the production team has pledged to extend the show’s run as long as tickets continue to sell out, ensuring that this production will go down in Maltese theatre history.

Written and performed by Jamie Cardona, and directed by Vikesh Godhwani, the one-man play tells the hilarious and heartfelt story of a teenage boy navigating the challenges of life in a Maltese church school—discovering girls, insecurities, and moral dilemmas. Since its debut, the comedy has brought roaring laughter and standing ovations, showing no signs of slowing down.
