Actor Marisa Abela’s star is shining brighter than ever! Following last month’s exciting announcement of her role in the upcoming film 'Black Bag' alongside Hollywood heavyweights Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender, she has now been revealed as a nominee for the prestigious EE BAFTA Rising Star Award.

Marisa joins an impressive roster of nominees, including Mikey Madison ('Anora') and Jharrel Jerome, known for his roles in the Oscar-winning 'Moonlight' and the acclaimed 'Unstoppable'. The nominees were announced in London at the Savoy Hotel by Jack O’Connell, who himself was a Rising Star winner in 2014 and starred alongside Marisa Abela in 'Back to Black'.

Taking to social media to share the thrilling news, Marisa described the nomination as an 'unbelievable honour' and expressed sincere gratitude for the recognition of her recent work and dedication to her craft.

Wishing Marisa the best of luck at the awards!
