Midsummer Classics! Listen to enchanting melodies under the stars at an open-air concert in Ta’ Qali

The enchanting sounds of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra will resonate through the picturesque Malta National Park Amphitheatre in Ta' Qali for a one-of-a-kind open-air concert. Midsummer Classics is happening on the 1st of July at 9 pm and it promises an evening filled with the finest musical compositions and an ambience that perfectly complements the midsummer eve.

Highlighting the richness of Maltese talent, the programme for the night showcases a splendid collection of works by local composers. The audience will be treated to the grandeur of Paul Nani's Overture in E minor, the captivating melodies of Carmelo Pace's Suite Melitensis, the majestic Knights of Malta Suite by Charles Camilleri, and the lively folk-inspired rhythms of Joseph Vella's iconic Rebbieha.

Adding to the magical atmosphere, the orchestra will transport the audience to the mystical world of Henrik Ibsen's play "Peer Gynt" through Grieg's timeless Peer Gynt Suite. From the evocative "Morning Mood" to the exhilarating "In the Hall of the Mountain King," Grieg's masterpiece captivates with its emotionally stirring melodies that have stood the test of time.

This unique open-air concert offers a remarkable opportunity for music enthusiasts to immerse themselves in an unforgettable experience.
