‘Mediterranean Synergies’: Mythology and abstract art exhibition by Aurelio and Simone Talpa to open in Gozo this month
This exhibition is being organised as part of the 27th edition of the Victoria International Arts Festival

Il-Ħaġar Museum, also known as the Heart of Gozo Museum, in Victoria will be hosting an art exhibition titled ‘Mediterranean Synergies’, displaying the ceramic works and paintings of the artist Aurelio Talpa and his son Simone, showcasing sixty works in total. 

The exhibition will open on Sunday 23 June 2024, at 11.45 a.m. and will remain open until Sunday 1 September 2024, with free admission. 

Aurelio Talpa studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples under the guidance of Domenico Spinosa, and currently teaches painting at the public school Liceo Artistico G. De Chirico at Torre Annunziata, Naples.

Simone Talpa graduated in 2023 from the Visual Arts and Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. His art reflects his personal interest in Eastern philosophies, while combining opposing entities such as figurative and abstract elements.

The museum is open from Monday to Sunday, between 9:00 and 17:00.
