The talented superstar that is the Maltese football player Haley Bugeja has just been shortlisted for the prestigious Women’s World Best Youth Player U-20 award.

Such an award is given out every year by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics.

This amazing news comes after Haley helped the Malta’s national team get promoted to League B in the UEFA Women’s Nations League. In the League itself she scored eight goals which made her the second top scorer in all the League.

Haley is also currently playing with the Serie A club, Inter in Italy.

Some of the other players include Salma Paralluelo from Spain who has just won the world cup, Jaedyn Shaw and Olivia Moultrie from the United States of America and Mary Fowler from Australia, all of whom are huge names in football at the moment.

The award winner will be announced, next year, sometime in January 2024.
