Malta Public Transport announces special bus services for Birgu Fest 2023
Tallinja Card holders can travel free of charge.

Malta Public Transport has announced a special service planned for Birgu Fest 2023, taking place this Saturday, 14th October 2023.

The bus schedule for the day will follow the normal Saturday schedule. However, there will be an increase in the frequency of Route 2 to accommodate the festival-goers.

Here are the key details:

Additional Route 2 Buses from Valletta Bay A2 and A3 to Birgu Café Riche:

  • Departing at 9:05pm and 10:05pm
  • This means that between Route 2 and Route 4, there will be a frequency of 20 minutes for departures from Valletta to Birgu, running from 8:20pm to 10:50pm.

Extra Route 2 Buses from Birgu Café Riche to Valletta:

  • Departing at 10:30pm and 11:10pm
  • This results in a 20-minute frequency between Route 2 and Route 4, operating from 10pm to 11:10pm.

In addition to these special services, after the conclusion of the regular service, Malta Public Transport will continue to provide a special service from Birgu Café Riche to Valletta at the following times: 11:20pm, 11:40pm, 12am, 12:30am and 1am.

All personalised Tallinja Card holders can travel free of charge, while cash tickets at €3 per passenger will be available for purchase from the Bus Ticket Machine for any passengers who do not have a valid Tallinja Card.

Visitors from abroad can also benefit from the Tallinja Explore Flex option, priced at €2.85 per trip.
