Magical moment! Malta’s Ramires Sciberras shines on Junior Eurovision stage during rehearsals
Ramires Sciberras, Malta’s entry for the Junior Eurovision, looked stunning on the Caja Mágica stage during yesterday’s rehearsals, as he gears up for the international song contest taking place this Saturday 16th November in Madrid, Spain.
12-year-old Ramires was selected to represent Malta in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest after winning the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest earlier this year. His song, ‘Stilla Ċkejkna’ translates to ‘Little Star’, and was written by Aleandro Spiteri Monseigneur, Lon Kirkop, and Peter Borg. The song is performed entirely in Maltese, marking the first appearance of the language in the contest since 2019, and is the first Maltese Junior Eurovision entry to be entirely in Maltese.
The official page for the Junior Eurovision also shared a sweet clip of Ramires singing some of his song, in which Ramires is said to tell his personal story, having been born in Cambodia and adopted by a Maltese couple when he was 1 year old.
The contest will air on Saturday at 6 PM, and viewers can show their support by voting for their favourite song at jesc.tv.
Good luck Ramires!
