With the Christmas season soon upon us, many locals will start to look forward to the yearly town decorations, the bright lights and festively-decorated trees, which add a sprinkle of joy to the long, dark, winter evenings. But in these trying times, it is unclear to some whether these yearly traditions will be revived…

As a result, the Siggiewi Local Council took to Facebook to announce that even though it has been a challenging year, the seasonal decorations will be returning in full force, this time bigger and better!

The post announced to locals that in the past couple of days, preparations were being made, and that the council had even invested in more decorations, aiming to create a festive atmosphere that will most certainly bring joy to both locals and enthusiastic visitors.

The council explained that for the first time ever, among the new decorations, both the bypass trees next to service road and those at the pjazza will be embellished with festive lights!

The council acknowledged that unlike previous years, this December, events which involve the gathering of crowds will obviously not be held. They hope that the extra decorations will compensate for these much missed events…

In their post, the local council thanked councillor Adrian Farrugia, executive secretary Ritienne Giorgino, and helper Tony Pace for all their support and work on this project. They also sent their appreciation to Regjun Nofsinhar Entita Governattiva for helping with the funding of the decorations, and Armar Siġġiewi for their yearly support on these matters.

This sounds to us like a Christmas dream!
