During yesterday’s Malta International food festival in Valletta, a huge record was broken after Sphinx Pastizzeria managed to create the largest set of dozen pastizzi in all of Malta and Gozo.

The record was verified by ‘the Malta Records’. It confirmed that when put in one long line, the pastizzi were three metres and 58 centimetres long altogether.

Individually, the pastizzi, which consisted of six made from peas and another six made from cheese, measured between 29cm to 30cm.

Perhaps we will soon start seeing these huge pastizzi being served at the local shops across the islands…
