Impressive! Conrad Neil Gatt sets national record with 51 km historic site walk across Malta in 9 hours
Taking sightseeing to another level!

Everyone marks their birthday in a different way – some prefer not to think about it, while others celebrate as much as they can. Conrad Neil Gatt decided to spend his 48th birthday setting a national record! The inspirational hiker walked a whopping 51.62 kilometres in 9 hours and 21 minutes, visiting an incredible 48 historic sites!

Despite the challenging weather conditions yesterday, Conrad pushed through the elements to complete what is arguably the island’s most culturally enriching hike.

As he visited each site, Conrad didn’t just focus on the personal achievement – he used the opportunity to raise awareness about the state of these important landmarks, through his page CNG Trekventures. Many of the sites, unfortunately, suffer from vandalism or the threat of overdevelopment, and through his journey, Conrad urged local authorities to take action and protect these precious pieces of Malta’s heritage.

A birthday well spent – well done, Conrad!
