It’s not over yet! Malta braces for an extended bout of tempestuous weather as a gale-force wind warning is prolonged until dawn on Tuesday, 9th January, according to a recent update from popular Facebook page, 'Maltese Islands Weather.'

With winds reaching Force 7 to 8 from the West, we are set to experience turbulent conditions and very rough seas with significant wave heights of 5.0 meters or higher during peak gusts.

The warning urges caution, particularly along the coast, indicating the most exposed stretches to the rough sea. However, a glimmer of relief is anticipated as the wind is expected to decrease appreciably during the day on Tuesday, gradually shifting to a Northwesterly direction.

Stay safe everyone!
