Have you seen them? Wildlife Rescue Malta issue call for help for two lost and entangled turtles in Gozo
Fingers crossed they’ll be found and rescued!

Malta’s Wildlife Rescue team has just issued a call for help on their social media after they did not manage to catch two entangled turtles off the coast of Xwejni beach in Gozo.

Unfortunately, yesterday Malta’s Wildlife Rescue team were called to help rescue two turtles who found themselves in horrible situation.

However, due to the rough seas and dark skies this was close to impossible. Even with the help of the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM), it proved incredibly difficult to find them.

They tried again this morning but the entanglement they were last spotted in was not there anymore and was most likely washed away due to the strong currents.

If you happen to spot them, you can call 99999505 and help save these poor creatures.
