For the past couple of years, the Gozo fast ferry has been operating between Valletta in Malta and Mgarr in Gozo, transporting passengers through two different companies.

This is however expected to change as Gozo’s branch of ‘Virtu Ferries’ and ‘Gozo Fast Ferry’ are expected to merge to form one operating company called ‘Gozo Highspeed’.

The new venture is expected to start as early as tomorrow Saturday, 1st July.

It is still unclear whether a new schedule will be used as opposed to the current one.

In order to celebrate the launch, the new company is introducing some new offers for its travellers. Gozitan residents can purchase seven return tickets to be used within one week for just 20 euros.

Additionally, online bookings start from €9.50, including the return trip.
