We’ve made it on Google’s Year in Search List! Malta has made it to the list of the most googled travel destinations of 2023, scoring ninth place out of 10 travel destinations.

Google recently published its annual ‘Year in Search’ data report outlining what users have googled over the past year. To support this, CN Traveller, one of the top travel magazines around, published an exclusive look at the travel section of Google’s data and Malta made it on the list in ninth place!

As described by CN Traveller, Malta showed its potential as a ‘hit European destination. Its history runs deep, and its beauty runs deeper’.

The online magazine goes on to praise Malta for being a beautiful ‘backdrop for many iconic films and TV series (Gladiator, Game of Thrones and Troy to name a few)’.

Our magnificent capital city was also given the spotlight including a mention to not miss eating at some of the best restaurants in Valletta.

Malta appeared on Google’s list together with nine other incredible countries including Morocco, Egypt, Thailand, Cyprus, Croatia, Portugal, Italy, Spain, and in the first place, Greece.

Do you agree with Malta being on this year’s list?
