Go Joe! Maltese Australian goalkeeper Joe Gauci re-signs with the A-Leage Adelaide United team till the 2025/26 season

Joe Gauci, a 22-year-old player and goalkeeper of Maltese descent has officially re-signed his contract to continue playing with the prestigious Adelaide United team.

The team plays in the  A-league which is the highest football level league in Australia.

He first signed with the club in 2020 and will continue to do play with them at least till the 2025/26 season.

The Australian Maltese footballer also plays for Australia’s National team having made his debut last March.

Joe is not the only player of Maltese descent making headlines in the Australian football scene after Mathew Leckie, whose grandmother is Maltese, scored the winning goal during Australian world cup game against Denmark last December.
