Janet Richard Athletics World Championships

Over the past few years, Janet Richard has consistently proven herself as a standout athlete, embodying Malta's athletic excellence. This summer, she secured a notable achievement by clinching second place in the 400m race during the European Team Championships held in Silesia.

Remarkably, her performance also saw her establish a new national record. Clocking in at an impressive 52.37 seconds, she surpassed her own previous record of 53.49, which she had achieved at the Euro Championships in Munich the previous year.

Having already participated in the 2019 World Championships held in Doha, Qatar, Janet Richard is no stranger to the grandeur of global athletic competitions.

This year, she is geared up for her second World Championships appearance, with her qualifying heat slated for Sunday. Throughout her journey, she is under the guidance of Coach Rebecca Sare.

Good luck, Janet Richard! We’re sure you’ll be making Malta proud!
