Get ready to freeze, Malta! Hail, gale-force winds and a minimum real feel of 3°C forecast for Christmas Eve & Day
Make sure to wrap up warm for Christmas this year!

Francesca Vella

Maltese Islands Weather has confirmed that this year’s Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are forecast to be exceptionally chilly, with hail expected on Christmas Eve and nighttime temperatures dropping to a frosty real feel of 3°C.

Below-average temperatures are also forecast for Christmas Day, so you might find yourself especially thankful for the cosy warmth of a Christmas jumper!

Adding to the wintry weather, gale-force Northwest to North Northwest winds are predicted, reaching forces 8 and 9, leading to rough varying to very rough seas.

If you’re planning any sea travel, it’s best to proceed with caution, and keep updated on ferry operation via the operators social media channels. Stay safe and keep warm this festive season!

Are you excited for a frosty Christmas?
