‘Geographers of Solitude’: ŻfinMalta to present its first-ever co-production at Teatru Manoel this May
This co-production is set to premiere first in Malta this May.
ŻfinMalta is gearing up for an extraordinary milestone this May as they prepare to reveal their first-ever co-production at Teatru Manoel. ‘Geographers of Solitude,’ choreographed by Paolo Mnagiola, marks a groundbreaking collaboration between ŻfinMalta and Ballet d’Jèrri, the national dance company of Jersey Island.
In this innovative work, twenty dancers from both companies are set to merge their talents to explore the shared essence of two distinct islands, bridging geographical and cultural divides. Drawing inspiration from the Arctic Tern's migratory journey, the performance delves into themes of diversity, the delicate balance of individual voices, and the pursuit of collective harmony.
Through mesmerising choreography, ‘Geographers of Solitude’ becomes a captivating dialogue on the dynamic interplay between solitude and communal life, reflecting on both personal and collective narratives. Carolyn Rose Ramsey, Ballet d’Jèrri's inaugural Artistic Director, expresses gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate on this transformative project, highlighting the power of art to transcend boundaries and unite diverse landscapes, cultures, and stories.
‘Geographers of Solitude’ promises to be a mesmerising fusion of movement, music, and storytelling—a testament to the transformative potential of collaborative artistry.
