From storms to sunshine! Malta and Gozo face a calmer weather week ahead
You can give your umbrella a well-deserved break for now!

After last week’s turbulent weather - complete with flooding, gale-force winds, and plenty of stormy drama - it’s time for a welcome change. This week, the islands can look forward to calmer conditions, making it the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors.

The forecast promises mostly sunny and partly cloudy skies, with mild winds and only a slight chance of rain. Daytime temperatures will reach a comfortable 17°C, slightly warmer than the January average, meaning a t-shirt and light jacket should keep you comfortable on most outings.

Nights will also be relatively mild, with temperatures hovering around 11°C. However, Thursday night may feel a little chillier, with the real feel temperature dropping to 8°C, so it’s worth keeping an extra layer close by!

The shift to a southwesterly wind last week, which calmed the stormy conditions will remain steady at a maximum of force 4 throughout the week. But Saturday will bring a shift to the more unpredictable easterly winds, combined with an increase to force 5 - so if you’re planning outdoor activities, earlier in the week might be your best bet to make the most of the calm weather.

Are you missing last week's exciting weather?
