Former dumping ground in Kordin being transformed into Football and Rugby complex
The complex will host both local and international games.

Construction at Kordin is set to start in the coming days to transform the former neglected area to a Football and Rugby complex for all to enjoy.

The complex is the first of its kind in Malta and will be built according to UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) and IRB (International Ruby Board) standards.

The ground will be built with an artificial turf and is set to have the capacity to seat 650 spectators.

Both local and international football and rugby games are expected to be played in this stadium once completed.

This complex is set to house several other amenities such as changing rooms, offices, a conference room, a restaurant, a media room and parking facilities.

The first phase of this project included an extensive excavation and the removal and exportation of tonnes of contaminated waste from the site.
