Floating overseas! Gozitan Carnival company sets record as sole Section C competitor to bring float from Gozo to Malta
Double the challenge!

Francesca Vella

Creating a Carnival float requires immense dedication and craftsmanship, but transporting that float across the sea to a different island? That's on a whole other level!

For the second consecutive year, the Gozitan Beraq One Aim Carnival Company has not only embraced the challenge of designing and building an original float but has also gone a step further - transporting it overseas to Malta to compete in the prestigious annual Carnival competition. With this achievement, they have set a national record as the only company in Section C to successfully bring a competitive float from Gozo to Malta. This follows their success last year when they accomplished the same feat in Section D.

Their hard work was celebrated in style outside the Auberge de Castille in Valletta, where dancers led the float’s grand procession through the streets of Malta’s festive capital.

Will they attempt a repeat of this success in the tougher Categories A and B in the coming years? Only time will tell! Until another company dares to take on the same challenge, this incredible record remains theirs to hold.

A huge congratulations to Beraq One Aim Carnival Company!
