Festive ferries! Valletta Harbour ferry services extended till 1 AM tonight for NYE celebrations
Avoid the hassles of parking and traffic!

Francesca Vella

If you’re making your way to the capital city for the New Year’s celebrations tonight, you have quite a few options in the way of transport to avoid the hassles of parking and traffic in Valletta.

Aside from the special bus service operating from Valletta tonight, the Harbour ferry services – that is, those serving Mgarr Harbour in Gozo, Sliema and the Three Cities – will be operational till 1 AM, provided that weather and sea conditions allow it. Given that the Harbour is particularly exposed to the elements, make sure to keep updated via the service's Facebook page for updates.

Given the tens of thousands expected to attend the event, taking one’s car might prove challenging, so do consider the alternatives available if you’re celebrating in Valletta tonight.

Are you counting down to the New Year in Valletta tonight?

31st December 2024
