We’re saying a heartfelt goodbye to one of Valltta’s iconic cafes – Cafeteria Prego in South Street. Unfortunately the cafe served its last treats over the weekend.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the news that was shared with us, a cafeteria in Valletta has closed its doors for the last time,” Social Channel announced on Facebook.

“The Bezzina family has been running the establishment since early 1946,” they said, sharing that the family was known for the way their ran their place.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we wish them the very best and thank them for the service they gave to the community. We will never forget it,” they said, thanking the Bezzinas.
