Jean Paul Portelli, a talented bird enthusiast from Nadur in Gozo, won three gold medals and one silver medal at the prestigious 83rd SOR International Cage and Aviary Birds Show that took place last week in Modena, Italy.

Competing against top breeders from around the world, Jean Paul showed his exceptional skills and dedication to bird breeding, winning both the gold and silver medals in the classic category with a Nanday parakeet. He also won two more golds in the blue mutations category with an Indian ringneck parakeet and a parrot.

This event, organized by the Società Ornitologica Reggiana, is one of the most important global competitions for cage and aviary birds, featuring over 400 birds. Jean Paul’s success is indeed a moment of pride on an individual and national level and provides an inspiration to bird enthusiasts everywhere.
