The three shortlisted films this year are:
The Creative Europe Desk Malta hosted by the Culture Directorate will be organising this event, as part of the legacy of the European Film Awards held in Malta in 2012, and also because of a strong commitment towards film literacy, increased audience development, as well as better promotion of European films.
Participating audiences (between the ages of 12 and 14) from some 38 European cities will watch the three nominated films inside cinemas across Europe. Between each of the screenings, participants will have the opportunity to discuss the films with filmmakers and members of the national film industry.
The Young Audience Film Day is aimed at shared experiences. It is a fun-packed day in which participants will watch and discuss films in the company of others and will also act as a film jury.
