The five-year research project, Fragility and sustainability in restricted island environments: Adaptation, cultural change and collapse in prehistory, sheds light on environmental changes and their effect on the human population in Maltese prehistory. The results of this project, funded by the European Research Council and a collaboration between scientists and archaeologists from Malta, Britain and Ireland, will be on display in this exhibition, which is open to the public free of charge. It will be inaugurated on the 17 March, following the full one-day conference.
