Early risers are invited to witness a remarkable prehistoric phenomenon at Mnajdra Temples from the 19th to the 22nd of March. Organised by Heritage Malta, this special dawn event celebrates the arrival of spring as the first rays of the rising sun illuminate the central passage of Mnajdra’s South building - just as they have done for over 5,000 years.
The experience begins at 5:30am outside the Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Archaeological Park Visitor Centre and includes a guided tour of the ancient site, scenic views of the islet of Filfla, and complimentary coffee and snacks.
Tickets cost €35 per person, or €25 for Heritage Malta members, offering visitors a rare opportunity to witness the extraordinary astronomical alignment created by the temple builders thousands of years ago.
