This year’s Easter concert will be the culmination of three very exciting projects for the Malta Youth Orchestra : the Wind and Brass Sections will be performing as ensembles after a three-day intensive course with local and internationally renowned guest tutors including Rudulf Korp, Jose Garcia Gutiérrez and Christopher Spiteri for Brass and Catherine Mooney-Zarzo, Harry Cameron Penny and John McDonough for Winds .Meanwhile the String and Percussion sections are delighted to welcome the Jugendorchester Stattegg from Graz, Austria . The two youth orchestras will be teaming up over five days and presenting a joint program under conductors Karl Vorraber and Riccardo Bianchi , which will later on in July also be performed in Austria . The program features several styles ranging from Bach, Mozart , Strauss and Elgar to Bartok, Gershwin , Piazzolla and Pace amongst others.
