Coincidance Ballet Theatre created a makeover of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream in 2012. This unique adaptation of the drama was a milestone in the life of the troupe being the first performance the young dancers staged fully by themselves. The two storylines were easily fitting the two styles of dancing. The more abstract, enchanted world of the fairies is performed by contemporary dancers while the characteristic world of the Athens workers is a perfect fit with the stubborn knocking of the step shoes. The performance acquired its final choreography by 2016 for the Karmiel Festival in Israel. Honouring the invitation, the creators put all effort, energy and time into the reinterpretation of the show, correcting all previous imperfections. The show retained its original charm and beauty but got completely revamped. It is still a smash hit performance that is part of the troupe's repertoire.
