Many villages all across Malta and Gozo are lighting up their streets and infrastructure in charming and glittering Christmas lights but Hal-Safi has taken it to the next level.

The roundabout near the principal entrance to the village is completely lit up by solar panels.

This is the only roundabout in all of Malta that is being powered completly by solar panels and thus reducing emissions to the environment.

The roundabout has been powered by solar energy all year round for almost two years now and makes the extra lighting up of Christmas decorations that much more efficient for the environment.
